Arrow Electronics Launches APAC Engineering Hub in Singapore to Drive Regional Innovation
Arrow Electronics, a global leader in technology solutions and supply chain services, has announced the official launch of its new Asia Pacific (APAC) Engineering Hub in Singapore, marking a major strategic expansion into one of the world’s fastest growing tech regions. The state of the art hub aims to accelerate innovation, bolster product development, and provide advanced engineering support to startups, OEMs, and enterprise clients across the APAC market.
The announcement comes at a critical time when Asia Pacific nations are scaling up investments in semiconductors, AI, smart manufacturing, and green technologies. Positioned as both a design center and technical innovation lab, the new engineering hub will act as a regional nerve center for Arrow’s cutting edge solutions, spanning embedded systems, IoT platforms, power electronics, edge computing, and sustainable technologies.
Set in Singapore’s dynamic tech corridor, the hub is equipped with advanced prototyping labs, test and measurement equipment, and collaborative engineering spaces. It will offer customers access to real time support, component selection guidance, system level design validation, and end to end technical consulting all under one roof. According to Arrow, this facility will bridge the gap between concept and commercialization for thousands of companies across Southeast Asia, India, Greater China, Australia, and Japan.
"Our APAC Engineering Hub is a critical part of our mission to empower innovators everywhere," said Natarajan MM, President of Arrow Electronics Asia Pacific. “We are positioning this hub not just as a resource center, but as a collaborative ecosystem where ideas transform into scalable, market ready solutions.”
One of the core objectives of the hub is to strengthen support for startups and mid sized manufacturers, many of whom lack access to advanced R&D resources. Arrow plans to run a range of accelerator programs, hands on workshops, and engineering boot camps from the facility, aimed at upskilling the region’s next generation of hardware innovators. These programs will be complemented by Arrow’s global supply chain expertise, offering entrepreneurs both technical and logistical support.
Moreover, the hub will play a crucial role in enabling design for sustainability practices. With sustainability becoming a key metric for global tech development, Arrow’s new facility will assist customers in designing energy efficient products, integrating circular economy principles, and complying with regional environmental regulations.
Singapore’s Economic Development Board (EDB) welcomed the launch, highlighting the move as a boost to the country’s positioning as a global innovation hub. “Arrow’s investment aligns with our national agenda to support advanced manufacturing and deep tech growth,” said Tan Boon Chin, a senior EDB representative. “The engineering hub adds significant value to our tech ecosystem and creates new opportunities for local talent.”
Arrow’s APAC Engineering Hub is also expected to foster stronger collaborations with universities, government agencies, and tech incubators across the region. By serving as a technical anchor point, the company hopes to enable more localized solutions tailored to diverse APAC market needs ranging from low power IoT solutions for agriculture in Southeast Asia to high performance electronics for industrial automation in Japan and South Korea.
The hub will initially staff over 100 engineers and technical specialists, with plans to expand as project demand grows. The facility also includes dedicated client demonstration zones, where real world implementations of Arrow powered solutions from smart city infrastructure to electric vehicle subsystems will be showcased.
In conclusion, Arrow’s new APAC Engineering Hub represents more than just a physical facility it symbolizes the company’s long term commitment to supporting regional innovation, local talent, and next gen technology development. With its collaborative focus and deep technical capabilities, the hub is poised to become a launchpad for breakthrough ideas that will shape the future of the Asia Pacific tech landscape.
